FSA Reminds Producers Of Crop Reporting Deadline

Farmers have until July 17 to report their 2017 spring planted crop acres to USDA’s Farm Service Agency. South Dakota FSA Acting Executive Director Jaime White says the normal reporting date is July 15, but since that date falls on Saturday the deadline has been extended to July 17. She says growers should call their county FSA office to schedule an appointment.

She advises farmers to bring their acreage information with them when they come into the office to report.

White says reporting is mandatory if farmers want to be eligible for any of the Farm Service Agency programs and resulting payments.

White says if farmers have any questions they should contact their county FSA office.
