The city will consider four variance requests during tonight’s city commission meeting:
Todd Evans, 1310 Frank SE, wants to construct a detached garage which will be 255 square feet over code which states all structures on the lot including accessory buildings shall not exceed 30% of the lot area in an area zoned one family residential district.
David Stahl, 107 Market St E, wants to construct a pole building 5’ from the west property line where code requires a 12’ side yard setback and 7’ from the north property line where code requires a 12’ rear yard setback in an area zoned general industrial district.
Nathan Faul, 1279 Dakota S, wants a garage only to remain on the lot where code requires a principal building/dwelling unit in an area zoned multiple family residential district.
Jeffrey VanWinkle, 616 Dakota S, wants to construct an addition to the east side of the house which will be 576 square feet over code as follows: all structures on the lot including accessory buildings shall not exceed 30% of the lot area and be 6’ from the detached garage where code requires a 10’ setback in an area zoned multiple family residential district.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 5:30 pm.
