The Fire that destroyed a mink-processing business in Arlington was called in to the Arlington Fire Department at 2:20 Thursday morning. The building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived says Arlington Mayor Amiel Redfish:
He says Top Lot Processors employs between 15 and 20 people and was located in the former Global Polymer building on the Northwest side of the community:
Redfish says the company is seasonal in nature running from about October to April:
The building was described as large, in the neighborhood of 120 by 80 feet wide and represents one-half of Arlington’s industrial park. Fire departments from 11 communities worked on the blaze. No one was inside the building, no firefighters were hurt and no adjacent buildings sustained damage. He couldn’t say whether the company might rebuild.
