Daugaard has proposed getting a federal waiver to use the Indian Health Service and its funding as a conduit to add more people to coverage under Medicaid. The Governor says the IHS is moving to adopt more uses of telemedicine….
Daugaard says there are also some discussions of expanding coverage in more creative ways…
An amendment covering the costs of the expansion will be included in the overall budget bill that will be voted on at the end of the session.
