HURON, SD – A health care provider will be receiving a federal grant to open a new health center in Huron. Sen. Tim Johnson says Horizon Health Center Inc. will receive a $216,667 federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to build the facility, which will offer primary and preventive health care services. The funds are from the Affordable Care Act. The act provides $11 billion over 5 years for the operation, expansion and construction of health centers throughout the nation.
Johnson says health centers make it easier for residents to access more affordable and quality health care in their communities.
