POET Bio refinery plant officials in Loomis want to be able to use storm water as part of their efforts to improve their environmental footprint. Plant General Manager Dean Frederickson says they want to use the storm water rather than discharging it but need a state permit to do that. He says it fits in well with the company’s environmental goals.

He says they’re producing ethanol and dry and wet feed and hope to add this recent environmental benefit to all that.
