Huron superintendent Terry Nebelsick says he is “cautiously optimistic” that enrollment in the district will exceed 2,760 students.
Nebelsick says an accurate count will be available in a couple of weeks and the number could be even higher. This would represent the highest enrollment numbers in over 25 years.
Nebelsick says more students means more services have to be provided.
Nebelsick says he wishes the increased enrollment numbers would do more to help Special Education.
Category one covers students who require academic support and currently represents the majority of special education students in the district.
