Ellsworth Air Force Base was targeted for closure, and barely survived the last two rounds of base closure, which were 10 years apart, in 1995 and 2005. But nothing is set in stone, and as the budget deficit commission is looking at making cuts, Task Force chairman Chris Lien says they want to make sure that Ellsworth stays out of the way of the DOD closure radar. He says they’re constantly looking for projects that complement existing missions…
