The Elephant Mosquito reported on yesterday may not be large insects that have been flying around Huron. Huron Parks and Recreation Director LaRon Klock said the city’s mosquito expert told him, the giant bugs are similiar to the elephant mosquito, but are not. Samples of the mosquitos from Huron are headed to South Dakota State Universtiy in Brookings for confirmation. Elephant mosquitos are do not feed on human blood, and the mosquitos in Huron have been biting people
