Bond is set at 250-thousand dollars cash or surety for a Minnesota man charged with vehicular homicide, drunk driving and hit and run. Twenty-eight year old James Harris of Anoka, Minnesota appeared through an interactive television network for his arraignment at the Beadle County Jail, in Huron. The South Dakota Highway Patrol arrested Harris, after a pick up truck struck two pedestrians in De Smet Friday night, killing 16-year-old Zachary Eichstadt and injuring a second person who was treated for minor injuries. Kingsbury County States Attorney Gregg Gass says Harris’ next court appearance is October 4th at 9: AM in De Smet.
