There were more golden shovels in the dirt in Southtown today as Dakotaland Federal Credit Union broke ground on a new administrative building.
DFCU President Dan Cumby says in addition to accommodating the credit union’s administrative staff and an area for drive-up and walk-in traffic, office and retail space will also be available for rent in the 30,000 square foot building.
60 water wells are currently being drilled to supply the building’s geo-thermal system.
The two level building is projected to be completed by Dec. of 2018.
Mills Construction is the general contractor on the project, Olsen Construction, Stretch’s Well Digging Service and Keleher Concrete are sub-contractors.
The bidding process for the rest of the project is just getting started.
