Hurricane Irene disrupted much of life for people living on the Eastern Seaboard last weekend and had a very minor impact on the City of De Smet. Rita Anderson, Executive Director of the De Smet Development Corporation says a segment on De Smet and Laura Ingalls Wilder would not be aired on Saturday due to coverage of the hurricane. Today Show officials told Anderson they will know for sure by Wednesday when the segment will air and it could possibly air this weekend, September Third. We will pass along the new date of the De Smet Today Show segment as soon as we know when it will aired.
