The Huron School District Foundation exceeded their 25 thousand dollar goal during the Day of the Tiger fundraiser on December 8th, with the first 25 thousand dollars matched dollar for dollar through a separate donation. The foundation is raising funds for a scholarship endowment fund for graduating Huron High School seniors. Foundation board chair Brad McGirr says the community showed their support for our students.
The foundation board plans to make Day of the Tiger an annual event.
There is still time to make a Founders Club donation. All commitments of two thousand dollars or more to the foundation by Dec 31st will be listed on a donor wall to be installed next year in the hallway connecting the Event Center to the Huron Arena.
