A fabricated from scratch, street-legal, late model race car that was making the rounds during the WISSOTA 100 stock car races in Huron did good things for the Huron DARE program. School Resource Officer Cory Borg says 800 dollars was raised in two days….
The car was finished in November of 2008 by Bob Hiller, who along with his wife Maybelle travel the country raising money for local DARE programs. Borg says they never set a goal of money to raise during the car’s time in Huron…

Sponsorship on the car helps pay the Hillers travel expenses allowing all proceeds raised during special events to go to that selected program. The Hillers, from Sedalia, Missouri, have raised over 78-thousand dollars so far with the DARE street legal late model car.
