Stock car racing will once again be part of Wheel Jam activities on the state fairgrounds this year. Orville Chenoweth with Dakota Promotions has announced he will run two races as part of Wheel Jam May 31 and June 2.
Chenoweth announced his retirement last summer, but track announcer Ken Lindblad said that Orville wanted to still be part of Wheel Jam
Chenoweth spent 22 years promoting at Dakota State Fair Speedway before stepping down last year.
Thursday, May 31st will be a five thousand dollar to win Late Model Challenge series, and will include modifieds and street stocks.
Saturday June 2 will be the ten thousand dollar to win Late Model Challenge Cup 18, with Midwest Mods also running.
Wheel Jam is May 31 through June 3 on the State Fairgrounds.
