Crimestoppers Looking For Help With Solving Suspicious Fires

Huron Area Crimestoppers is looking for you help in solve a series of possible arson cases. The Huron Police Department is currently investigating a number of suspicious fires, that occurred Monday night between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM near the Ravine Lake area. Four separate grass fires were reported during that time frame. Three were reported around the lake and an additional fire was reported on city property near Third Street and Jersey Avenue. The fires were quickly contained and damage was limited to a section of fence line and grassland. A witness reported seeing two young males in baggy pants running from the scene of one of the fires in the dark. Anyone with information is asked to contact Huron Area Crime Stoppers at (605) 353-8555. Callers may remain anonymous and a reward may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
