Sign up is underway for the Conservation Reserve Program. For landowners CRP is a great alternative for low yielding acres to improve profitability, deliver high quality wildlife habitat, clearer water and healthier soils. Owen Fagerhaug with USDA Farm Service Agency talks about the sign up period.
Fagerhaug said bid practices are judged on overall benefits to the program.
He said they have a great relationship with several groups who have an interest in the program.
