USDA officials have announced up to $ 20 million available nationally for competitive grants through the Conservation Innovation Grant program, or CIG. South Dakota NRCS CIG Coordinator Jay Cobb says the funding is for putting new technologies on farms and ranches.
He says while there is federal grant monies available there is also funding for state grants in South Dakota.

Applications for the national CIG projects are due by May 10 of this year. More information can be found on line.
