A multi-denominational group of area churches with the goal of connecting cultures is hosting a public event this Friday, February 15, at the Huron Campus Center from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Connecting Cultures, an area ministry support group which includes members from several churches in Huron and the surrounding area, was formed in 2016 with a purpose of reaching out to those in need and learning about different cultures in our region. The main goal is to connect with people in our region to bring all the cultures together as one by an exchange of ideas, stories and life.
The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes Karen, Hispanic and American food, including:

El Salvador- Pupusas

Mexico -Tamales and drink

Peru – Chocolate dessert

Karen – Egg rolls and samosas

Germany – Spritzkekae cookies

Phillipines – Spring rolls

Native American – Blackberry dessert

American – Church lady pies
There will also be music from Karen and Hispanic groups, games, worship and fun. All are welcome!
