Congresswoman Comments On Budget

The US House passed the republican inspired budget bill on a vote of 260 to 167, with 59 republicans voting no.  A report from the Congressional Budget Office said even with the thirty eight billion dollar budget cut, total spending for the year will be about three point three billion dollars higher than was estimated in December.  South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem says the current bill at least changes the spending momentum…

 The bill was then passed by the Senate on an 81 to 19 vote. The bill will keep the government in operation through the end of September.
