It was another light agenda for the Huron City Commission last night. The main item at Monday night’s meeting was consideration of an agreement with Banner Associates Inc. for improvements to the Wastewater Treatment Facility as identified in the 2016 Preliminary Engineering Study. Improvements will be made to the sludge drying beds to make it easier for staff to dry and remove the solids. Project manager Tanya Miller of Banner Associates Inc. gave commissioners an overview of this first phase of the project.
Miller says construction should begin in Spring 2018. Commissioners voted to approve the contract with Banner.
