Commission To Discuss Police Department, Other Items During Meeting

The Huron City Commission holds it’s final meeting of October tonight. A light agenda has the Commission considering a contract with Robert Sharp and Associates for website maintenance and consideration of contract approval with Avera for two health insurance plans. Commissioners will also consider a request to change the position of Traffic Officer to a Detective position in the police department. Two items are up for work session consideration. One is entitled simply Retail Business. The second is to look at the organizational structure of the Police Department. There are no scheduled executive sessions for the Huron City Commission. The meeting will be held at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
