Commission to Discuss Ordinance that Controls Hunting Near City Limits

The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5;30 pm.

On tonight’s agenda, a discussion of the ordinance covering the discharge of firearms and weapons.

City planner Ralph Borkowski says he and the mayor have been contacted regarding the hunting of waterfowl just south of the wastewater treatment lagoons located in sections 9 and 10 in Custer Township. The municipal ordinance says that shotgun hunters must be 660 feet away from city limits.

Also tonight, a public hearing will be held on the transfer of a 2018 Retail On-Sale Liquor License and a 2018 Package Off-Sale Liquor License from Thunderbird Liquor Inc. to Revs Blue Juice LLC.

Commissioners will also hear an update from Greater Huron Development Corporation Update and a funding request from the Community Development Foundation.
