After having last week off for the Columbus Day/Native American Day holiday, the Huron City Commission is back in regular session tonight.
The commission will convene as the Board of Adjustment to consider a variance request at 625 Nicollet Ave SW. Richard & LaJune Presuhn are requesting to construct an attached garage that will be 4’ from the south property line, where code requires a 7’ side yard setback and 26’ from the east property line, where code requires a 30’ front yard setback in an area zoned one family residential district.
Also on tonight’s agenda:
- Presentation of Jim Fjerestad Memorial Award to City Inspector Chris Newman
- Presentation of Gold and Platinum Loss Control Safety Achievement Awards
- Consideration of a plat filed by Wheatgrass Village LLC for Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Wheatgrass Village Addition with the condition that the reciprocal access and parking easement agreement be filed at the register of deeds.
Tonight’s meeting gets underway at 5:30 pm.
