Coach Schmitz Says Yankton Exhibited Sportsmanship to Injured Tiger

There was a great example of sportsmanship last weekend after the Huron-Yankton game in the 11AA semi-finals.

Late in the third quarter Huron’s Walker Schiltz broke his leg and was taken to the Yankton hospital. His injury required surgery, and he spent the weekend at the hospital.

Huron head coach Michael Schmitz said over the course of the weekend Walker had a couple visitors.

Walker Schiltz will be on the sidelines tomorrow night in Vermillion supporting his teammates in the 11AA championship game against Pierre.
