The City of Huron is getting ready for the eventual removal of snow this winter from city streets by updating city ordinance. Currently, depending on whether a day is odd or even numbered, city crews will plow one direction or another, as for example, north and south. However if city crews completed plowing those north/south streets, it caused a problem. Commissioner Mark Robish…
The change will mean those who have no off-street parking will have to find alternative parking arrangements..
Plowing will continue on the same schedules as before so if residents are aware of when their street may be cleared, they could park accordingly, returning a vehicle once a street is plowed. The second ordinance addressed changes to snow removal from sidewalks in the CORE area of Huron. Both ordinances will have second readings scheduled for next week.
