The Huron City Commission got its semi-annual update from the Huron Event Center.
General Manager Brenda Jager says over the last six months three conventions have been awarded to the Huron Event Center.
Jager says going forward, one issue that needs to be addressed is the condition of the tile in the hallway connecting the Arena and the Event Center.
In other business, the commission approved a variance request by Busch Properties LLC. The variance is for project address 570-572 22nd St SW, which is a vacant lot. Busch wanted a shed to remain where code requires a principal building/ dwelling.
