City Commission To Meet Tonight

The Huron City Commission will meet tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will meet as the Board of Adjustments to consider a conditional use permit to remodel space for an apartment where code does not allow dwelling units on the first floor of an area zoned B-two without a Conditional Use Permit. When the City Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider a change order for Central Park. Second reading will be held on changes to the solid waste ordinance to reflect the upcoming recycling program. A resolution setting fees for the recycling program will also be considered. The Commission will consider two hiring recommendations and meet in executive session. Commissioners will also take part in a work session to review Commissioner assignments as the make up of the City Commission will change next week with the swearing in of Paul Aylward as mayor and Garry Harrington as city commissioner. The Huron City Commission meets at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
