City Commission To Meet Tonight

The Huron City Commission will be meeting tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider four bid items, all related to the Huron recycling program and two special event alcoholic beverage licenses filed by the State Fair. The Commission will also consider approving Request For Proposals for an end source for the recycling program. Commissioners will  consider music copyright licensing agreements with ASCAP and BMI. The Commission will consider authorizing the Public Safety Director to apply for a new highway safety grant and the planning director to apply for a Safe Routes to Schools grant. Commissioners will also consider last minute approval of election workers for tomorrow’s City/School Board election and hiring recommendations for part-time engineering and gymnastics assistants. The Huron City Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session. Tonight’s City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 PM and is open to the public.
