The Huron City Commission has a far busier agenda on tap for tonight’s regular weekly meeting of the group. Commissioners will consider setting bid dates for three items, The bids to be set are for two four-by-four pick-up trucks for the Inspection and Solid Waste Department’s, a truck chassis and automated side loader refuse compactor unit and 66 gallon refuse containers. A public hearing will be held for a special event on-sale alcoholic beverage license filed by the City of Huron for April 10th. First reading is expected for an ordinance regarding businesses on sidewalks in Huron. The Commission will get a presentation of the 2012 unaudited financial statements and consider the Huron Police Department policy for a Traffic Crash Review Board. Commissioners will consider authorizing City Planner Ralph Borkowski to sign a Certified Local Government Grant Application for the Board of Historic Preservation. Also up for consideration by the Huron City Commission is a funding request from the Central Park Marketing Committee and two human resource items. The are no executive or work session scheduled for the meeting. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
