As 2013 makes it’s way across the world today, the Huron City Commission will put a bow on 2012 this afternoon. The Huron City Commission is holding it’s year-end meeting at noon today at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider a change order and payment request from Asphalt Paving and Materials for a street milling project. The Commission will hold a public hearing for a special event alcohol license filed by the Huron Chamber for the Chamber’s January Mixer. Commissioners will also consider a recommendation for towing services for 2013 and will consider renewal of the contract with City Attorney Gerry Kaufman. Commissioners will also consider renewal of the Golf Professional contract for next year and contract amendments with the Fraternal Order of Police and AFSCME Local 169. The Commission will hold second reading of an ordinance on Health Insurance for retirees and will hold a public hearing on a resolution regarding the special assessment roll for 2012 Curb, Gutter and Pavement improvements. The Huron City Commission will also consider a rates resolution, certified pay schedule for 2013, appointments to the Golf Course Commission and the announce the New Year’s garbage collection schedule. The Huron City Commission will again be meeting at noon today at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
