City Commission To Discuss 2nd and Dakota Light and More Tonight

The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will meet as the Board of Adjustments for a variance request by Subway to have a larger than allowed by code sign put up. When the Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider a chance order and payment request by Asphalt Paving for a curb and gutter project. The public is encouraged to attend a discussion on what to do with the traffic lights at 2nd and Dakota Avenue in downtown. The Commission will consider a request by the State Fair for compost and a trailer court license for Huron Mobile Estates. Separate Agreements with the South Dakota Departments of Transportation and Education will be considered at the meeting tonight. Commissioners will get the first reading of an ordinance regarding special licenses and permitting for beer gardens and will end the meeting in executive session. The Huron City Commission meets at 5:30 tonight.
