The Huron City Commission has plenty to tackle when they meet tonight after having last Monday off for Native American Day. The Commission will meet as the Board of Adjustments to hear four variance requests. The variances range from a request to place an existing manufactured home in a location where only a newly constructed manufactured home can be, various building, driveway and fencing setbacks and a request by Iverson Chrysler for signs that will be over code requirements for their property in the Southtown Addition. When the City Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will consider a payment request and hold a public hearing for a home occupation permit request. A public hearing will also be held for a special event on-sale alcohol license filed by the Huron Chamber for a Chamber Mixer on November 11th. The Commission will also consider a proposal for water tower inspections, a plat filed by the City of Huron and the annual trailer court license renewals for two trailer courts. Commissioners will also consider an appraisal recommendation for a surplus merry-go-round and announce a change in business hours for the Solid Waste Department. The Huron City Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session for a personnel matter, but has no scheduled work sessions. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building at 5:30 P-M. The meeting is open to the public
