The Huron City Commission has a relatively light agenda heading into tonight’s regular meeting of the group. Commissioners will consider a special event alcohol license filed by the State Fair for March 27th at the Women’s Building. The first reading of an ordinance is scheduled for tonight. The ordinance would declare the Southtown Addition as a redevelopment neighborhood. A second Southtown Addition item is on the agenda. That item is to authorize Mayor Paul Aylward or the mayor’s designee to act on behalf of the City during the upcoming auction of lots in the neighborhood. Commissioners will get the 2014 annual report on Storm Water Management and will review the 2014 unaudited financial statements and authorize the finance director to send those to the state department of legislative audit. The Commission will also consider changes to the delinquent account policy for utility bills. There are no scheduled work or executive sessions for the Huron City Commission. The meeting is tonight at 5:30 P-M in the Commission Room of the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
