The Huron City Commission is meeting for the final time in February tonight. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for a lift station replacement project and will consider the purchase of three pickup trucks off State Bid for water, water sewer and the park and recreation departments. Two more semi-annual updates are scheduled for tonight one from the South Dakota State Fair and the second from the Beadle County Humane Society. A public hearing will be held for a special event on-sale alcoholic beverage license request filed by the Huron Chamber for their next Chamber Mixer. The Commission will also consider a request by the South Dakota National Guard to use city property west of Huron for training. A work session on the Kansas Mall will be held and the Commission will meet in executive session to deal with a contractual matter. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 P-M in the Commission Room of the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
