The Huron City Commission holds it’s first meeting of 2015 tonight. Commissioners will consider setting January 26th as the bid opening date for bids on seeding and leasing hayland in the Southtown Addition. Commissioners will get a semi-annual update from the Huron Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau and will consider an intergovernmental contract with the South Dakota Public Assurance Alliance and authorize Mayor Paul Aylward to sign the contract. The Commission will hold ordinance readings for ordinances relating to the city’s paid leave of absence policy and will consider revising travel authorizations and expense reimbursements. There are no scheduled work or executive sessions for the Huron City Commission. The group meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
