The Huron City Commission meets tonight to begin the final week of November. Commissioners will consider a payment request for sewer main lining and a change order and final payment for a concrete replacement project. A public hearing will be held for a special event on sale alcohol license filed by the Huron Chamber for a Chamber Mixer on December ninth. The Commission will also get an update on progress from the Huron Workforce Development Council and request funding from the city. The second reading of an ordinance regarding campaign signage will be held and Commissioners will consider a hiring recommendation for the library. Solid Waste Department changes for Thanksgiving will be announced before a work session dealing with the Sidewalk Task Force. There are no scheduled executives sessions for the Huron City Commission, who meet tonight at 5:30 PM in the Commission chambers of the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
