The Huron City Commission holds it’s regular weekly meeting tonight. Commissioners will consider a change order and final payment request for a street milling and overlay project and will consider a request by Performance Radio for a raffle and alcoholic beverage consumption permit for a wine tasting event on November 22. The Commission will consider an agreement with TRANE for the continuation of services at the Huron Municipal Building and the 2013 Audited Financial Statements will be presented. The first reading of an ordinance on campaign election signage will be held along with the second reading of ordinances that deal with snow removal and parking during snow alerts. Commissioners will consider a hiring recommendation for an engineering technician and consider the appointment of an appraisal committee to appraise lots in the Southtown Addition. The Solid Waste schedule for Veterans day will also be announced. The Huron City Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session for a personnel matter. The minutes of last weeks meeting indicated the City will hold interviews for internal candidates for the position of police chief. There are no scheduled work sessions. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM. The meeting is open to the public.
