The Huron City Commission will continue to discuss the police department as a part of tonight’s regular meeting of the group. First, Commissioners will consider a contract addendum with the First Presbyterian Church and a professional services contract with Northern State University classes at Huron Community Campus. The Commission will also consider two items, a highway access permit and 26th street access, related to the sale of a part of the Southtown Addition to Iverson Chrysler. The first reading of two snow-related ordinances are tonight along with two hiring recommendations, one for a police officer and the second for the solid waste department. A work session is scheduled to discuss the police department and there are no items listed for executive session. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
