City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission is holding it’s regular weekly meeting tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will conisder setting March 24^th as the bid date for yearly water, sewer and irrigation materials and consider the purchase of a 2014 Sewer Jet Truck from a Minnesota State Contract. Semi-annual updates continue tonight with updates from the Huron Event Center and Beadle County Humane Society scheduled. Commissioners will consider a rental agreement with James River Equipment for a tractor for the water/sewer department. Departmental items include the presentation of the 2013 unaudited financial statementes, five human resource items and consideration of authorizing the City of Huron to apply for funding for a Cane Ball court through the Huron Youth Leadership Council. An executive session is scheduled for what is listed in the agenda packet as Marketing or Pricing Strategies. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
