The Huron City Commission gets back to work tonight after having last week off for Veteran’s Day. The Commission will start by meeting as the Board of Adjustment to hear three variance requests. When the City Commission reconvenes, Commissioners will hold a public hearing on a special event alcohol license filed by the Huron Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau. The Commission will consider a request by Theresa Township to grind asphalt on 397th Avenue. Commissioners will also consider a plat filed by Northwestern Corporation. Two more public hearings will be held, the first on a resolution requesting the vacation of an alley. The second is on for a lease agreement with Celebrate Church for space at the Campus Center. The Commission will consider a recommendation to sign a renewal agreement for Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Two human resource items are also on the agenda for the Huron City Commission. The meeting begins at 5:30 PM and it is open to the public.
