The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider a payment request for Central Park and a request by the South Dakota State Fair to waive landfill disposal fees for demolition and disposal of Clover Hall debris. The request from the State Fair includes a request to use a city side dump truck and payloader to help with debris removal. The Commission will also consider a request to reduce assessments against a property at 138 Colorado Avenue Southwest. Departmental items include a request to waive the five-mile residency requirement for a city employee and accepting the resignation of a volunteer firefighter. There are no scheduled executive session items, however there is a work session scheduled to discuss the city parking lot on the southeast corner of 5th and Dakota Avenue. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the community.
