The Huron City Commission is meeting tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider an application for a Beer Garden Permit filed by the Sportsman Bar. They will also consider a letter of intent regarding the subdivision of a lot located on North Frontier Drive. The Commission will also consider a request by the Huron Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau for use of the old trap range during the Ringneck Festival on November 8th. A public hearing will be held on a street vacation request. Departmental items for consideration include recommending full time status for a golf course position, an appointment to the Planning Commission and holiday reminders for Native American Day/Columbus Day. There are no scheduled executive or work sessions. Tonight’s meeting also will mark the first for new City Attorney Jeff Banks. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
