The Huron City Commission will hold it’s regular weekly meeting tonight. Commissioners will meet as the Board of Adjustments to consider two variance requests. When the Commission reconvenes, presentations for awards for the water department will take place during public forum. The Commission will also allow Cliff Hadley the opportunity to make a statement regarding alleged secrecy by the City Commission. Commissioners will consider a payment request for a sewer main lining project and a special event on-sale alcoholic beverage license filed by the South Dakota State Fair for the grandstand area in designated zones and areas. The Commission will also consider accepting a resignation from the Historic Preservation Board and four human resource items. The City Commission will not meet next Monday due to Memorial Day and the Memorial Day garbage collection schedule will be announced, along with an update on solid waste department activities. The are no scheduled executive or work sessions on tonight’s agenda. The Huron City Commission will meet at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
