The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for a two-way live floor trailer for the Solid Waste Department. They will also consider setting a bid date for materials for water, sewer and irrigation. A public hearing will be held on the transfer of a retail on-sale liquor license and on-off sale malt beverage license from Huron Hospitality to First Dakota National Bank, both doing business as the Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center. The Commission will consider a special event on-sale alcohol beverage license for the Heartland Pool and Dart Tournament. Commissioners will also consider an appeal by a resident in the Campbell Park Historic District, to install vinyl windows on the second floor of a home. The Commission will also receive a presentation of a housing availability study. The Commission will hold second reading of a rezoning petition filed by the Beadle County Conservation District. A resolution to remove a restrictive covenant on property on Cardinal Lane is also before the Huron City Commission tonight. Nine departmental items are on the agenda this evening.
