City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider awarding a bit for breathing devices for the Fire Department, and three payment requests for various city infrastructure projects like street milling and water main work. A public hearing will be held regarding the transfer of the retail on-off sale liquor license from VFW Post 1776 to the La Hacienda Mexican restaurant. Commissioners will also consider an easement with Kim and Marvie Tschetter. The Commission will hold first reading of two ordinances regarding the Huron Cable Television Franchise ordinance. Commissioners will consider revising a resolution to remove the restrictive covenant on property near Cardinal Lane. The Commission will consider five human resource items including a resignations, hiring recommendations for a new dispatcher and part-time camera operators for City Commission meetings. The Huron City Commission is scheduled to meet in executive session for a personnel matter. The Huron City Commission will meet tonight starting at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public
