The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will hold two public hearings for special event alcohol licenses filed by the Huron Chamber and Visitor’s Bureau for upcoming Chamber Mixers. The Commission will also consider two plat requests and a request by Pheasants Forever to use the trap shooting range at the Issac Walton Complex and rifle range in late July. Commissioners will hold first reading on ordinances relating to traffic regulations, one is on traffic and the second would repeal a chapter in ordinance regarding parking meters, which the city no longer uses. The light agenda ends recommendations to hire Swim Lesson Aides and Lifeguards and a wage increase for lifeguards due to W-S-I certifications. There are no scheduled executive or work session. The Huron City Commission meets at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
