City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider two payment requests for the east water tower Changer orders for sewer main lining and the walking paths on top of the swimming pool dike are also up for consideration, along with a payment for Central Park. The Commission will consider a Beer Garden permit application filed by Thunderbird Liquor and ratification of the AFSCME Contract 2012 Wage Scale. The second reading of an ordinance on permits and insurance for golf carts is tonight. A resolution setting fees for golf carts permits will also be considered. A Resolution of Necessity for curb gutter and pavement improvements on 20th Street Southeast and Indiana Avenue Sourthest. Commissioners will consider recommendations from the Capital Assets Committee and hiring recommendations for the Parks and Recreation Department and Library.
