City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission gets back to work tonight after not meeting last week to honor our Nation’s birthday. The Commission will consider seven bid items including awarding a bid for road oil used in chip sealing, setting two bid dates and considering four change orders. A public hearing for a retail On-Off malt beverage licence will be held. Commissioners will consider a Mapping Maintenance Contract for the E-911 system. Two more public hearings, these on resolutions will be held . One is a street vacancy request at the future Central Park site. The second is on an annexation petition. The Commission will consider the recommendations of an appraisal committee on the value of a surplus asphalt zipper and five human resource items round out the agenda. Commissioners will meet in executive session for negotiations and hold a work session on next years budget. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
