The Huron City Commission holds it’s regular weekly meeting tonight. Commissioners will hold a public hearing for 2016 liquor and wine license renewal and will consider a plat filed by American Bank and Trust. Going with that is first reading of a re-zoning petition ordinance. The Commission will consider a request by the Town of Virgil to allow City Attorney Jeff Banks to act as their city attorney as well. Commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Insurance Committee to approve the Avera Health Plan , an action deferred from last week and announcements regarding the solid waste collection schedule for Thanksgiving will be made. The Huron City Commission will be meeting in both a work and executive session. The work session will consist of a review of proposed changes to the city’s employee Safety Manual, also an item deferred from consideration last week. Commissioners will again meet in an executive session for a contractual matter. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building at 5:30 P-M. The meeting is open to the public.
